The XLZD (XENON-LUX-ZEPLIN-DARWIN) collaboration is developing the next-generation dual-phase xenon time projection chamber (TPC) for dark matter and rare-event searches. To significantly enhance the sensitivity beyond current experiments, XLZD aims to scale the target mass by increasing the TPC dimensions to 3 meters in both height and diameter.
To demonstrate the feasibility of this scale, the DARWIN collaboration at University of Zurich has developed Xenoscope: A large-scale demonstrator featuring a 2.6 meter tall TPC designed to prove electron drift over the extended length. Furthermore, a precise study of electron cloud diffusion is planned, with a specific focus on the transverse diffusion. This talk will provide an overview of the Xenoscope facility and present the latest results.
